I am 18 years old and currently a freshman in college. Both of my parents are from El Salvador, with my mom from San Miguel and my dad from La Union. My brother and I were born in America, and we live in Maryland near DC. I love playing video games, specifically Nintendo. My hobbies include drawing, animating, writing, and music composition. I also have a dog. Also I can recite the entirety of “Let it Go” from memory! This is my first published book, but I have written many stories in the past for class assignments, friends, and personal enjoyment. My favorite part of the writing process was coming up with the idea for the story, as well as the jobs and inevitable failures of Fernado. My thought process behind the book was to recall a personal goal of mine, which was to buy gifts for my friends and family as a sign of appreciation, as well as to tell a humorous story with a heartwarming message.
