I am a 15-year-old girl from Washington, DC, currently in the 9th grade. My mother is from El Salvador, and my father is from Bolivia. I have two siblings who I love deeply. I like to listen to many different types of music, especially when I study and play video games. When I wrote this book, I enjoyed having to connect through personal experiences with the people I collaborated with. I wrote this book not just to increase diversity in children’s books, but also to show deep cultural significance. I hope readers can learn more about the cultures being expressed in this book!
