Linh
Linh is a 17-year-old Vietnamese and Chinese author from Rockville and Maryland. She was born in Saigon, Vietnam. She enjoys creating stories about identity and personal experiences, hoping to make readers feel seen, understood and validated. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, thrifting, and trying out every boba shop within her proximity.
“See You On The Dance Floor” is Linh’s first story and she’s eager to continue sharing her ideas with the world. Her favorite part of the writing process was brainstorming and capturing the “big idea” of her story.
During the summer of 2023, ten young people from AALEAD came together to create this zine centering Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) stories. In collaboration with Shout Mouse Press story coaches and professional comics artists, they drew and wrote comics centering AAPI identities in diverse, authentic, accessible ways that affirm other AAPI young people, increase understanding, and foster an inclusive next generation.
