The pandemic cookbook : my special is a smoothie that I drink often. It’s the orange juice smoothie. The orange juice smoothie boosts your immune system and loads you up on Vitamin C and other important vitamins so that we do not get as sick. Here are the steps to making the orange juice smoothie.
• 1 cup Orange Juice
* 1 cup milk
* 12 ice cubes
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 1/8 cup sugar (optional)
* 1/2 cup water
* 1/2 cup strawberries
I make this smoothie about twice a week . I mostly began drinking this smoothie when I saw a YouTuber online do it. I saw how it can benefit the immune system especially because the coronavirus has affected those with underlying conditions. Fruits contain a lot of healthy products that help out with the immune system. There’s plenty of other healthy smoothies. There are tropical fruit smoothies as well, I made one with pineapples. I have also made a banana and apple smoothie. During this time, fruits are very important. They contain Vitamin C, increasing the production of white blood cells, which are key to fighting infections.
