Loss of A Loved One

Loss of A Loved One

Client: Doctor! Doctor! I’m calling because I don’t feel too good.

Doctor: Well, what are your symptoms ?

Client: I don’t feel like myself; I'm sleeping all the time and I’m tired all the time, my body hurts, I’m overeating, and I’ve been gaining weight, fainting…..

Doctor: Mhm…. has there been any changes in your life recently ?

Client: Well, I recently lost my brother, but everything else has been the same.

Doctor: Have you been dealing with the loss of your brother ?

Client: Idk… Not really. This may be a shock, but I don’t think it’s hit me yet.

Doctor: Well Miss, I think I know what’s wrong with you and how I can help.

Client: What!? How!?

Doctor: I believe, based on your symptoms, and recent life changes, you're dealing with heartbreak from the loss of your brother.

Client: But my mother, on the other hand, she can’t sleep, she can’t eat, she has nightmares, low blood pressure, and Arrhythmias. So how could I be heartbroken when she is by the loss of her son…?

Doctor: With all considered people and their bodies react differently. You both have different symptoms, but they are all symptoms of heartbreak.

Client: So what can I do ?

Doctor: Time …. give yourself time to heal, time to mourn, time to yourself, healthy social interaction time. Focus on healing as well; healing your mind, body, and spirit.

Client: Thank you Doctor !
