The Big Picture
The Big Picture

This is the first image that comes to mind when picturing how I am spending my days during quarantine. While I may not be able to go to the mall, movies, or library as I would like, there is still a way to get around, be cooped up in the house, or get some fresh air. It is a relief that the Stay-at- home Order has not been so stringent as to force people to stay in their homes during the course of events. Walking around the neighborhood is one of the best ways to pass time. I especially go for a walk in the morning before most people are awake around seven o’clock or so. I just listen to the environment as it is without any interference. Even if it's raining outside, one can still walk outdoors for as long as they decide to do so.
Listening to music makes the nice strolls and jogs even better. I like to walk past and see all the houses, churches, plants, and so forth. It certainly makes me appreciate the little things that we tend to take for granted. In certain parts of the world, there are those who are not able to leave their residences without a penalty or cost to them. I find it best to listen to LoFi Chill-hop beats while walking in the morning. In the evening, the Evil Needle station on Pandora is always a good station to workout to, getting the blood pumping. Though it might be best to stay indoors, I take every precaution wearing a cloth face mask, and a pair of gloves.
No quarantine can be completed without the good ol’ gaming station at the ready. With the likelihood of the quarantine in the country’s capitol being prolonged, now more than ever, I am actively gaming, if not watching Netflix. There are few ways to make time fly in life, and let me just say, gaming is one of them. One moment, it's one in the afternoon, and the next, it's five in the morning (now, I am not saying that I myself have done this, but under the advice of counsel, I am unable to disclose any information at this time and for the foreseeable future). If you just so happen to be an Xbox One console user, I would recommend playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey if you are looking for a great adventure story. If you are looking for a multiplayer game, there is always Destiny one and or two.
Being active during quarantine is helping me and my family members bond more. We exercise together, and though it might not be as rigorous it is good exercise all the more. The most common way we exercise is by walking around the neighborhood for about an hour and twenty Minutes. Each lap is about twenty two minutes. My father even insists that we drink a glass of his special concoction before we leave the house. It is truly a gruesome mix, but the health benefits of the brew is quite remarkable. The ingredients are grinded ginger root, organic honey, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and some other item that I do not recall. Now, I know it sounds like a remedy for being turned into a camel, but its health benefits are worth the taste (though do not be surprised if it tastes dreadful). I personally only drink it twice a week because the brew has such a strong taste. It is not easy to down in one chug.
