he’s old, though,

his words need revamping

that’s what it is

it’s obviously a little bit different this year

only so much joy you can have

in a world on fire

definitely a little bit different

but it’s the little things

the shit you usually take for granted

that currently brings the joy

like

staying up late for no reason

waking up hella late for no reason

eating your mom’s cooking

having hella free time

enjoying the weather (when it’s not too damn hot)

working on your own projects (for me, it’s music)

goofing off in a playstation party

meditating

breathing

y’all realize how amazing breathing is?

i don’t know,

everybody acting like the world is ending

when really it’s just a metamorphosis

sure, it can get ugly and it takes time

but there’s still shit to do

stuff to smile about

ways to find your joy

as jay-z said:

“we victorious,

they’ll never take the joy from us”

that’s a fact
