Drip, Drip: The Story of the Angry Sherbet
by Dache, Marques, Ericka, and Dartavius of Reach Incorporated
Sherbert is a little sherbet with big problems: he has serious anger management issues, and whenever he gets mad he starts to melt. His friends are getting tired of dealing with his tantrums, and the other treats in the candy shop are worried that his melting will attract unwanted attention from the store’s owner. When Sherbert’s best friend leaves him to fend for himself, he will have to learn how to deal with his anger issues on his own – before he melts away!

Meet the Authors
As reading tutors to elementary-aged students, the teens of Reach noticed that few children's books reflected their lived experience as youth of color. So they decided to take action and write their own. Now these D.C. teens are diversifying children's literature, one smart-fun-real-brave-bold story at a time.
Dache is from Washington, DC and was a junior at Mckinley Tech High School when she authored her book. She loves sherbet, which was an inspiration to come up with the main character, Sherbert. Writing this book was a way for her to bring all of her favorite treats to life while also making a connection to her real life troubles with anger.
