As reading tutors to elementary-aged students, the teens of Reach noticed that few children's books reflected their lived experience as youth of color. So they decided to take action and write their own. Now these D.C. teens are diversifying children's literature, one smart-fun-real-brave-bold story at a time.

Brandon

Brandon attended Perry Street Prep Public Charter School in NE DC when he authored his book. He's into tutoring kids and helping younger children read. He's looking forward to writing more books.

Jordan

Jordan was born and raised in SE DC and attended Eastern Senior High School when he authored his book. He was born into an artistic family, always inspiring him to be creative, but he's not sure exactly how. In the meantime he's looking at different careers to pursue. You can always find Jordan with headphones on and listening to music.
