An Empty Place

An Empty Place
by Andrenae

Your place of worship is supposed to be somewhere you can always go. But you never know what can happen when things get bad and low.

An epidemic so powerful and it’s really letting you know.

When you’re hurt you need a quiet space to talk, to spill all your troubles and even yell without sin.

Use all those screams from within, to put a hole in what you know is broken.

You shout out to God, with that heart you have that’s broken. Or if it’s not broken is it stolen.

How can you possibly take it back without going back.

Yes, yes you can.

Bring all your hurt and take it to church.

And just praise his holy name.

Now that heart that was once broken.

Is being fixed by the words that are being spoken.

That almighty father already knew that you were hoping for some peace in a new love that he has now awoken.

Again, this epidemic is so powerful and it’s really letting you know.

Church is CANCELED!

Not actually canceled but not actually graspable.

Of course there’s the over the phone services with your church, a little at a time of course, but there’s nothing like feeling your pastor's hand give you that touch while you’re kneeling down at that altar.

It’s nothing like walking your tithes down to the basket, and now we’re clicking on cash app to send them through.
