Tee's Playlist
Tee’s Playlist

You know how usually people have a set playlist of all the music they listen to so they don’t have to struggle taking time to find the song they want? Yeah, not me.. I don’t know why I never really actually made a playlist🤔 as much as I love music. Maybe it’s because I love music so much that I know the name of every song and the person who sings it, lol. Music is #1 art for me. It allows you to express your emotions while leaving you completely open-minded. I’m one of those people who will listen to music in order to complete an assignment. It might sound weird but it can actually work. Maybe something in the song makes me realize something or helps me come up with solutions. Some artists that I really enjoy listening to are Lil Baby and Rod Wave. Both of these men are great artists. They know how perfectly to express their emotions and thoughts through their music, giving people something to relate and cope to. Furthermore, many parents think too much TV for kids is a bad thing, but not when they can watch Netflix, lol. Netflix films are #2 for me. There are so many different things and documentaries you can watch on Netflix that you will actually learn from. They will even enlighten you on things you never knew that you should know. One Netflix series I do recommend that taught me a lot is called Containment. When you watch this show you will be in shock of the beliefs back in that time that may be brought back to life today. This show also really made me take this whole thing that’s going on in the world today seriously because we may never know what can happen the next day. During this pandemic, we should all be feeding our brains with knowledge. A good and easy way is just by picking up a book. Any book that interests you no matter what book it is. I catch myself reading my old books that I co-wrote because I know how interesting they are. They will grab my attention. Yeah, I’ve read it before, but maybe, during my second time reading it, I will run across things I didn’t notice while writing it. Even though there may be nothing I can do about it, it just feels good to know your work and it’s worth. One book that I catch myself reading often is Tyrell’s Big Move. A few other authors and I wrote this book based on an ongoing problem that has been occurring in the world, gentrification. This book reminds me of a great time because it amazed me how me and others were able to work together and present such a great book for the youth on such an important issue in the world. The last piece of art I mainly see myself indulging in is myself. EVERYDAY and I mean everyday I go through pictures of myself in my gallery. Just reminiscing about old times and memories that were once captured. Reminding myself of the things in the past that I miss. Reminding myself of how beautiful I am because during this pandemic I can’t be my true self. I can’t go out and get my hair done to feel like myself again. This is not only affecting me, I know it’s affecting us as a whole, and that is why we have to find ways to keep us engaged and sane. #StaySafe #BePositive #StayHome
