The self-care that I practiced this week was going outside and getting some fresh air. My way of self-care during this pandemic is going outside and admiring the beauty around me. I love to feel the wind brushing against my skin, and looking at the clouds. I just take that time to really think about life and the finer things within it. This routine of self-care is important because we spend so much time focusing on what is in front of us (social media, work, our lifestyle), that we ignore this sanctuary that we inhabit. I have a decent relationship with self-care because, but I sometimes choose not to practice it depending on my location. If I am in a city, it is harder to focus on peace and beauty, which makes it harder to admire and meditate. In this case, I change my self-care, interfering with the consistency of the routine. I try to practice this self-care routine as often as possible in order to keep myself afloat.
