Quarantine Mood
Quarantine mood: Looking at something to watch? Let me tell you what I have enjoyed.

Hours of Leisure that you will not regret watching or listening:
My quarantine films/tv shows,
1. Ghost world. It’s a movie about two teenagers that got out of Highschool, trying to discover the real adult life making choices that will lead them to the next step of maturity. What I love most about this film is the simplicity in how they present interesting characters with their different roles and behaviors, so extravagant. Ghost World is much like a dark comedy.
2. Beastars: This is an anime show on Netflix. You can watch and judge by yourself depending on what experiences you have had, but I love it. It’s developed in a world of animals where carnivores and herbivores have learned to live together, but there is still tension between them because the hunger of the carnivores is still there and herbivores can be an easy prey. Each character in this show is important and interesting and has their own story and reason to act in the way they do.
3. Melancholy by Lars Von Trier: it’s a film where everything is art. A cosmic accident. It’s a complicated but beautiful movie that I recommend watching. After diving around different explanations of the movie, I came out with the conclusion that it is about how you perceive its meaning.
4. Princess Mononoke: is a Japanese film. I remember when I was 12 years old and a friend told me to watch this movie because it was better than any Disney princess. I started watching it, but I didn’t like the animation. It was kind of scary and I thought it was from the devil (my ignorance). Years later, I watched it completely and it surprised me from a more mature perspective. This movie shows the struggle of humans taking the unmeasured resources from nature without looking at the chaos they are leaving behind. The princess here is nothing but a warrior fighting back to protect the forest spirits.
5. Gangsta’s paradise: This is a song. It brings another kind of energy. Listen to it with your friends and pay attention to the lyrics. It almost feels euphoric.
These shows have helped me to enjoy being at home, and I have learned a lot through them. I have learned to appreciate animation, the actors playing a role, and the art of design. Most importantly, I have learned the meaning that each writer and director want to leave to their audience.
