( Keep in mind that this would be a medical program for kids who want to be in the medical field while in high school, as I did ) I am highly engrossed in this program as well as this opportunity. I say this because I’ve always had a thing for those who work in the medical field. I’ve always had a huge heart, so I love to assist people. I’m always learning about basic medical conditions and how I can help those suffering. I research things like how I can render aid to those in need if they are in an emergency. Having this opportunity has me mind-boggled because I come from nothing, so although I pray for the best I always expect the worse.

Today, our future looks different everyday as new events that we may not predict happen. For example, the future for school changes everyday, especially since the recent event of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, for the future, at least for now, school would be online. Hopefully, things will go back to Face-to-Face learning because, in my opinion, that is the best way. We all know that things will be different like sanitation and the cleanliness of school buildings. So all I can give to the future are predictions.

The future that I see holds less excuses and more accountability for the decisions made in the past. This future gives guidance into a direction towards correction for those who fell victim to systematic racism. Those whose ancestors were stuck in the vicious cycle of poverty will know no such feeling, and will not be misinformed of their history either. Many will wonder how such a drastic change occurred over the decades, none will question who fought for this change. Everyone will know those who caused the time bomb of societal destruction, as well as the generation that defused the bomb before any more harm could be done to the world.

I will be a lawyer helping kids or adults with their criminal ways or past to better themselves. I will also be someone who gives back to the community and to programs that helped me become who I am today, like Beacon House, Reach, and Shout Mouse Press just to name a few. I think we will travel with all self driving things. Maybe only one person will do all the things their job requires to help stop COVID-19. I think that we will learn the same way we do now, by computer or tablet, or six feet apart in the classroom if needed. The help was always available due to budgets existing for resources, but it took a pandemic to happen for them to exist.
