I See My Future Program

( Keep in mind that this would be a medical program for kids who want to be in the medical field while in high school, as I did ) I am highly engrossed in this program as well as this opportunity. I say this because I’ve always had a thing for those who work in the medical field. I’ve always had a huge heart, so I love to assist people. I’m always learning about basic medical conditions and how I can help those suffering. I research things like how I can render aid to those in need if they are in an emergency. Having this opportunity has me mind-boggled because I come from nothing, so although I pray for the best I always expect the worse.

Tomorrow We Never Know

Tomorrow We Never Know
by Aniyah

Today, our future looks different everyday as new events that we may not predict happen. For example, the future for school changes everyday, especially since the recent event of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, for the future, at least for now, school would be online. Hopefully, things will go back to Face-to-Face learning because, in my opinion, that is the best way. We all know that things will be different like sanitation and the cleanliness of school buildings. So all I can give to the future are predictions.

The Future

The Future
by Johnay K.

The future that I see holds less excuses and more accountability for the decisions made in the past. This future gives guidance into a direction towards correction for those who fell victim to systematic racism. Those whose ancestors were stuck in the vicious cycle of poverty will know no such feeling, and will not be misinformed of their history either. Many will wonder how such a drastic change occurred over the decades, none will question who fought for this change. Everyone will know those who caused the time bomb of societal destruction, as well as the generation that defused the bomb before any more harm could be done to the world.

My Future Dreams

My future is a future where the police are abolished. This future will be full of violence interrupters and upstanders in my community. This is a future where we interact by face-to-face and holographically. We will travel by using hovering cars.

I believe that, in the future, many things are going to change. I believe that my day-to-day life will change in many ways. I believe that we are going to feel as though our freedom is being limited by what we can not do. We are going to feel as though we don’t matter to anyone. In the future, I am hoping to be making a difference and it doesn’t have to be a big difference.

The children are the future. I feel as though later in life, everyone will be more equal. I feel like children will be able to take higher positions. People will start to depend on children more.

Our World Tomorrow

Our World Tomorrow

I will be a lawyer helping kids or adults with their criminal ways or past to better themselves. I will also be someone who gives back to the community and to programs that helped me become who I am today, like Beacon House, Reach, and Shout Mouse Press just to name a few. I think we will travel with all self driving things. Maybe only one person will do all the things their job requires to help stop COVID-19. I think that we will learn the same way we do now, by computer or tablet, or six feet apart in the classroom if needed. I think we will grow and heal by going a mile and beyond to make sure we are healthy and doing all things to protect ourselves. We will be very careful of who we hang out with and things we do and touch .

Our Future

Our Future
by Litzi

I want to wake up every day helping someone. During the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020, many resources were quickly created to help people during the crises that should continue to exist. The help was always available due to budgets existing for resources, but it took a pandemic to happen for them to exist. There shouldn’t be another outbreak, let alone death, to make resources available. Every day in the future, I want to make sure I am doing what I can to revise and create policies that will help everyone.

Dreams

I dream about the future. I ponder about the year 3005, far from now and distant enough to dream about. Many people, when they hear about the year 3005, they think about flying cars and everything being virtual. When the year 3005 comes to my mind, two things pop up. First, the song “3005” by Childish Gambino, and secondly, how far from the current issues of today would be.

We Are The Future

Dear Diary,
The future consists of many things that humans put our minds to. A few years from now, I feel like technology will be on a whole different level, and there will be many well-paying jobs out there for people. I feel like fast food restaurants will be replaced with machines and cars will be floating. In the future, I would like to own lots of businesses and make the world a better place. I feel like us children of the 21st-century advocate a lot for the things we want to change and have bright ideas for the future. That will lead to big things happening. We millennials are the next generation and we are the ones that will make the change. In the future, I feel like there will be less discrimination and more freedom and space for us to express ourselves without being judged.

We, The Youth

We the youth are not just the future, we are the present. We are as present as the adults. Both of our generations, and every generation in between, has an impact in our day-to-day lives, and inevitably, the future. There are no start over buttons when a generation dies out that makes another magically stands and creates changes.

My Future In My Eyes

In the future, my day-to-day life would change a lot. My life would be more filled with adult responsibilities, and this would make me happy instead of putting me down like they do now. I will be a successful entrepreneur that owns a salon and franchising around the world.

Letter

It is an honor to write to you today. However, I wish that you were able to read this yourself. I wanted to start off with the ways in which your death has affected me and my life story. Since your passing, the uprising of protests have begun

To a Friend, From a Friend

Azaria Brown,

Hope all is well!

As you may already know, there is an uproar in the community because of injustices caused by police officers all over the world. This affects those who are considered minorities in the U.S., and our brothers and sisters are at the front line of the havoc. I believe that it is time for us to come forth and speak more on the matter. We could use social media as our source and outlet to speak publicly on the issue.

Postcard for Larry Hogan

Dear Governor Larry Hogan,

I applaud you for attempting to handle the COVID-19 situation to the best of your ability and trying to keep the number of cases and deaths as low as possible in Maryland.

However, your lack of response and silence in regard to the Black Lives Matter movement and your obliviousness to the problems that are plaguing your people are both grossly offensive.

Self-Care

Dear World,

Today, I wanted to share my favorite method that I use to practice self-care. This simple and easy way is journaling. During this time, I would sit in a quiet area around the house and reflect on the day or whatever was on my heart. To me, this method is very relaxing. It helps me clear my mind. I’ve actually been journaling all year long because this method is very simple and easy, yet mesmerizing. I believe that self reflection is a great way to learn more about oneself, therefore, I try to practice it often. For me self-care is essential.
